This autumn International Community invites all interested internationals and their families and friends to take part in the Danish tradition of making your own snaps.

We will meet up at Ørnereden, where we will learn more about making traditional Danish snaps. The idea is that you bring your own Brøndum snaps and together we gather different berries and herbs in the forest to flavor it. The Danes love to celebrate the different seasons of the year with a good lunch and of course a good strong snaps. Snaps is the Danish traditional version of aquavit. Many families make their own snaps from a special recipe with ingredients they have gathered in nature.

At the event, International Community will serve coffee and a light lunch.

We will arrange different activities for the children - playing games and making their own chestnut-animals.

Practical information
Bring one bottle of Brøndum snaps (a clear rather tasteless aquavit bought in most supermarkets), empty glass jars with a lid containing minimum 0,5 litres each, scissors and a basket to gather ingredients. Dress warmly and suitable to the weather conditions. Remember shoes for walking.
