International Community works for the companies in the region as a valuable resource for sharing knowledge and supporting their recruitment and retention of international labour. At the same time, we also work to improve social contact, professional networking and practical assistance for international workers and families.

The reasons we are in this endeavour in close cooperation with companies, educational institutions and public authorities are simple:

• Increased globalisation with much more mobility in the workforce. 
• Shortage of specialised labour and labour in general in the Danish corporate world. 
• On a European scale 67% of outplacements fail due family issues.
• Denmark needs talent to succeed and maintain a competitive position internationally.
• The need to further develop Aarhus as an attractive area for international employees and their families.
• The importance of sharing knowledge, gaining new insight in working with international labour and influencing the development of the Aarhus area’s international profile.
• The need for one point of entry to professional and social networks and relevant information for international labour.
