Post boxes in Denmark are red. You will find them outside all post offices at different locations in villages, towns and cities.
From 1 January 2012 new rules are applied to post boxes in Denmark. The post boxes must be moved to the ground floor in the apartment buildings, while post boxes in old villas, townhouses and similar are placed directly at the entrance to the properties.
Post Danmark´s Danish website has an online application that allows you to search by location for the post box nearest to your address.
To find the location of a post box:
- Click on the “Postkasse” (post box) link in the column on your left hand side.
There will appear an interactive map of Denmark. Click on the location where you live, which will automatically lead you to the map, showing you the nearest post boxes.
OR:
Simply enter an address, a postal code, a town or location in the search area and click on "Søg" (search).
