Driving Licence

The rules which apply to drivers moving to Denmark vary depending on whether their driving licence was issued in the EU/EEA, a non-EU/EEA or a Nordic country. Holders of licences issued in non-EU/EEA countries are required to exchange their driving licence for a Danish equivalent within 14 days of being issued with a Danish CPR number. Failure to do so can result in a penalty of DKK 5,000.
