Denmark is divided into five administrative regions. Their primary responsibility is healthcare, including hospital services, psychiatry, health insurance, general practitioners, specialists, emergency medical services and the operation of a variety of social institutions.
The five administrative regions are:
· Region Hovedstaden: Capital Region of Denmark
· Region Midtjylland: Central Denmark Region
· Region Nordjylland: North Denmark Region
· Region Sjælland: Region Zealand
· Region Syddanmark: Region of Southern Denmark
